“Soon, boy, soon.”

During the final days, the old man managed to tell his wife, children and grandchildren he loved each one of them.
Now the end had arrived, they were all gathered around him.
As he took his final breath, his hand fell down beside the bed and he whispered, “Soon, boy, soon.”
None of the family heard what he said or saw the dog sitting beside the bed nuzzling the old man’s hand as they left the room.
